Rack & Pinion kit
Isn’t it fun to say “I’ve got rack & pinion steering”? Bragging rights and better function come into play with our Rack & Pinion conversion kit. We’ve designed our kit to give that solid - easy to turn feel that you’re after if you are spending hard earned money on suspension upgrades. GM’s econo, light weight, throw away 605 box doesn’t hold a candle to the feel of a rack & pinion; and not only that, GM never intended for it to be used in a 3500 lb. Bel Air Chevy. Cheaper is not always better when it comes to the safety of you and your family & friends. Options include polished U-Joints & shafts. Get out of the ordinary-get Dutchman!
Features:
• Our kit bolts on with NO frame or crossmember modifications (NO cutting or welding).
• Utilizes a very common mid size, rear steer 82-92 GM power rack.
• Custom CNC machined billet steering arms minimize the bump steer & maintain the stock turning radius.
• The “Rack only” kit can be used with stock A-Arms, stock or dropped spindles, and/or 1” shorter coils.
• Changes loc to loc from 4 to 3 turns.
• NO wimpy "hardware store" U-Bolts, to hold the rack (like our competitors use in their kits)
What’s Included:
Complete Rack kit includes: (1) Fully welded Rack mounting bracket, (2) conversion billet steel steering arms, (3) U-Joints, (2) shafts, & (1) shaft support bracket, (2) AN-6 Rack fittings, (2) tie rod ends, and the mounting hardware/nuts/bolts (everything except the pump).

600 Series Power Steering Box
The new 600 series power steering box from CCP gives you quick response, precise control, & smooth operation throughout the entire steering range. This new box is a major improvement from the old technology 605 GM “Throwaway” box in performance & technology. CPP’s power “re-circulating ball technology” feature low friction and quick response (same technology used in a rack & pinion gear). The steering system and hydraulic fluid also acts as a cushion to help absorb road shocks. All components are new (not rebuilt), and 100% tested in the factory.
Specifications:
Steering Ratio is 14:1
Input shaft is ¾” 30 spline (same as the 605 box)
Sector shaft is 1” 36-4 tapered spline, the same as the original pitman shaft
Pressure fitting is 7/16” tube (11/16-18 inverted flare)
Return fitting is 3/8” tube (5/8-18 inverted flare)

At Dutchman, we offer you the latest combination of function and aesthetics with our 12” & 13” custom disc brake systems. Function, because you need it, and aesthetics, because it’s fun to show off the goods (especially with today’s larger open wheels). Options include red or polished forged aluminum calipers, a chrome bolt mounting kit, and stainless braided brake lines. Get out of the ordinary-get Dutchman!
